RENTAL TERMS

EQUIPMENT RENTAL TERMS + CONDITIONS
All lights are rented complete, with barndoors, scrims, stand, and head feeder cable. Lights and cable are rented on a three-day week; cameras, video/audio equipment is rented on a four-day week.
RENTAL CHARGES ⁄ PAYMENT
Start on the day the equipment is picked up if prior to 3 PM. After 3 PM, the rental will begin the following day. Daily rental terminates at 10am. Equipment returned after 10am will be charged another days rent, unless prior arrangements have been made. Travel days or package hold day are charged at 50% of daily rate.
Renter is responsible for all freight and handling charges for inter-island shipping. Renter agrees to make payment in full within 15 days, with a 1.5% service charge per month on all accounts over 30 days.
CANCELLATION
Equipment ordered, but cancelled less than 24 hours prior to the rental date may be charged 50% of daily rate.
PAYMENT TERMS
Net 15 days upon approved credit, 1.5% service charge per month on all accounts over 30 days.
OWNERSHIP
Title and ownership of all equipment rented remain the sole property of Sight & Sound Studios.
LIABILITY
Sight & Sound Studios, is not responsible for any liabilities, claims, costs, or expenses arising out of the use or possession of its equipment. Renter acknowledges that the rental equipment is offered for test and inspection at the time of rental. Sight & Sound Studios assumes no responsibility whatsoever for the performance of the equipment and no claim for liability or rental reduction shall be allowed due to alleged failure of the equipment, no allowance will be made for periods of time in which the equipment was in the renter's possession but not actually used. If the unit is lost, damaged, or damaged beyond repair, the renter shall be charged full list price for repair or replacement. Rental costs will be deducted from replacement costs.
EQUIPMENT RELEASE
Renter agrees not to release or re-deliver said equipment to any other, person, firm, or corporation without the written consent of Sight & Sound Studios.
INSPECTION
Renter agrees to admit owner or his agent to enter the premises upon which equipment is kept for the purposes of checking condition of owner's equipment and for the purpose of repossessing the equipment in the event the renter is in default of any term of the rental contract.
INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS FOR LOSS + LIABILITY
Renter shall provide his own insurance to cover full value of the equipment rented, for any and all loss, damage, or liability which may occur. A certificate of insurance is required, naming of Sight & Sound Studios as "additional insured" and as loss payee, before equipment can be released. A minimum of $1,000,000.00 combined single limits, bodily injury, and property damage is to be maintained for the term of this rental. The renter shall remain fully responsible for the equipment during shipping. Lessee shall be obligated for loss of rental income until such time as equipment is fully repaired and returned to Lessor or full payment in settlement of loss received by Lessor.
VEHICLES
For vehicles/generators, the renter agrees to provide auto, bodily injury, and property damage insurance, with no less than $1,000,000.00 combined single limits. Renter agrees to provide physical damage (comprehensive and collision) coverage on a blanket basis to any vehicles that Sight & Sound Studios may provide to the renter, with a limit of not less than $125,000.00.
AGREEMENT
The renter agrees to all terms and conditions for any and all equipment rented from Sight & Sound Studios, the owner, prior to shipment or delivery.
